India Corner at Peradeniya University
View(s):To mark the centenary of the establishment of the Assistant High Commission of India in Kandy, an ‘Indian Piyasak’, India Corner was inaugurated on Thursday at the main library of the University of Peradeniya.
Professor M D Lamawansa and the High Commissioner for India in Sri Lanka Gopal Baglay cut the ceremonial ribbon at the entrance of the India Corner.
Kandy Assistant Indian High Commissioner Dr (Ms) Athira S, University Deputy Vice Chancellor Prof Terence Madhujith, University Librarian R Maheswaran, and others participated in the event.
