The second day’s play of the Major League three-day cricket final between SSC and Police was washed out at the NCC grounds yesterday due to wet ground conditions following heavy overnight rains. SSC amassed 250 for the loss of three wickets on day one with Avishka Fernando hitting a blistering 107. He shared a 111-run opening stand with Shevon Daniel, who hit 56 and a further 88-run stand for the second wicket with skipper Nipun Dhananjaya. Today is the last day of the match.
