GOONESINHA - Rachel Diana. At rest with Jesus. Beloved wife of Ananda (Ana), daughter of Edgar and Lilian Wickremesinghe, sister of Eustace (all deceased), loving mother of Lohini and Ajitha, mother-in-law of the late Ajith Abeyratne and of Ingrid, Cherished grandmother of Surovi, Kishen and Vashni, Ashan, Tehani and Veruni, much loved great grandmother of Mishaal, Tameem, Tahlisa and Araen. A private funeral was held on 5th January. STM 013400.

IT is with deep sadness we announce the peaceful passing away of our dear mother Mrs. Celia Mae Wijesinghe (nee Weerackody) on Saturday January 6th, 2024, in Airdrie, Scotland. Wife of late Nimal Wijesinghe, mother of Neloni and Dilini, grandmother of Alanki, Emmi and Ben. Sister of late Shirley, late Felix, late Edgar, Gladys Perera and Vivi Jayatunge. Funeral to take place on Tuesday January 16th, 2024, 1.00 pm at Airdrie Baptist Church, followed by burial at New Monkland Cemetery. 10 Balmoral Avenue, Glenmavis, Airdrie. Piyasena, loving mother of Thulitha, Hasanika and Uditha, Mother-in-law of Dilhani and Prasanthika, Grandmother of Thedassi, Dinathi, Theditha, Nadunie, Nemitha and Chamitha, beloved sister of Luxman and Rohan Nawaratne. Remains will lie at Residence No. 77, Station Road, Homagama, (Behind Lekha Cinema) on Saturday 13th January 2024 from 9.00 a.m. onwards. Cortage leaves residence at 4.15 p.m. on Sunday 14th January 2024 for cremation at 5.00 p.m. at the Niyadigoda Cemetery, Homagama.
