Discounted books for schoolchildren
View(s):Exercise books will be provided to schoolchildren at a 30 percent discount, Education Minister Dr Susil Premajayantha said in parliament.
“The State Printing Corporation has made arrangements for students to receive books at a 30 percent discount,” he said.
Last year, Sri Lanka had to utilise an Indian credit line to print school text books.
The Minister said the private sector was helping in programmes to provide schoolchildren with the bare necessities, including books.
