Saajida, Dinara, Apna, Kiran enter finals
Saajida Razick and Dinara de Silva, in the women’s category, and Apna Perera and Kiran Vairawanathan, in the men’s category, won their respective ties to enter the finals of the SSC Open Tennis Championships worked off at the SSC courts yesterday.
Saajida coasted to an easy 2-0 win over Tuwini de Alwis while Dinara was made to fight hard before brushing off the challenge of Dinethya Dharmaratne by 2-1. In the men’s category, Apna Perera recorded an easy 2-0 nil win over Mineth Navaratne while Kiran underwent some anxious moments before pulling a 2-1 win over Chathurya Nilaweera. Both finals will be played today.
