IDM Nations Campus International (IDM NC) Convocation
View(s):The annual convocation ceremony of IDM Nations Campus International (IDMNC) held at the Bandaranaike Memorial International Conference Hall towards the later part of last year. Dr. Janagan Vinayagamoorthy, Chairman of IDM Nations Campus International, presided over the ceremony, with distinguished guests including Dr. Wijeyadasa Rajapakshe, Minister of Justice, Prison Affairs, and Constitutional Reforms, as the chief guest.
IDMNC International, affiliated with the University of Buckinghamshire, New University, UK, conferred degrees at the Master’s, Bachelor’s, and Higher Diploma levels. The presence of Dr. Sarah Williams and Mr. Mike McDermott from the British University added significance to the event. Mr. Alen Clark, Chief Academic Affairs of EdHat International, was also present during the awarding ceremony, which covered technical education, management education, teacher education, and legal education.
Dr. Wijeyadasa Rajapakshe highlighted the government’s commitment to establishing diverse universities in Sri Lanka, ensuring enhanced higher education opportunities. Dr. Suren Raghavan addressed graduates, emphasising the government’s strategic approach to expand educational opportunities and encouraged them to embrace responsibilities.

Dr. Sarah Williams delivered an insightful speech, urging graduates to approach the next phase of their lives with confidence, acknowledging the support received. She emphasised the transformative power of education and quoted Oprah Winfrey on genuine support.
Mr. Mike McDermott emphasized the transformative power of knowledge and encouraged graduates to leverage their skills for societal betterment. He highlighted the collaborative nature of education and its role in positive change, urging graduates to contribute to societal challenges.
