Channa delivers ‘Doosra’ in Dhaka

The second directorial venture by Channa, ‘Doosra’ represented Sri Lanka at the 28th Kolkata International Film Festival. France based actor Lakshan Abeynayake has joined ‘Doosra’ as one of the producers and also plays a lead role in the film.
Story revolves around Rathi and Anil who are lovers living in testing times. Amidst economic hardships they are forced to choose other means to make their ends meet. A simple scam they attempt gives them an unforeseen satisfaction. Where will this new path lead them?
‘Doosra’ is played by Thilakshani Rathnayake, Lakshan Abeynayake, Sajitha Anthony, Shyam Fernando, Steve Dela Silva, Wasanthi Ranwala, Ruwan Madanayake, Jayanath Bodhahandi, Nadheeshani Peliarachchi, Tharindu Kavinda Gamage, Samantha Parna Liyanage, Vishaka Siriwardhana and Rohith Mannage.
Behind the screen co-produced by Hashani Kithalagama, cinematographed by Dhammika Rathnayake, edited and colour grading by Thissa Surendra, make up by Samarasiri Kadhanage and art director is Lucky Wijewardena. Sound designer of the film is Sasika Ruwan Marasinghe, while the musical score is written by Chinthaka Jayakody.
To the lyrics of Ashoka Handagama, playback songs are sung by Nipuni Sharadha, Sajitha Anuththara and Rohitha Jayanath. (SF)
