‘Fighter’ out for India’s Republican Day

Coinciding with India’s Republican Day, Bollywood action thriller ‘Fighter’ starring Hrithik Roshan, Deepika Padukone and Anil Kapoor was released in theatres here on January 25.
Directed by Siddharth Anand and produced by Viacom18 Studios and Marflix Picture, the film revolves around top IAF aviators come together in the face of imminent danger, to form Air Dragons. ‘Fighter’ unfolds their camaraderie, brotherhood and battles, internal and external.
Shamsher Pathania fulfills his lifelong dream and becomes a member of the Indian air force. As he faces rigorous challenges, Patty must rise above his own limitations to become a true hero.
Originally announced three years ago in January 2021, the film had been delayed due to the Covid 19 pandemic and the filming was started in November 2022.
Capturing various locations including some of India’s most beautiful regions, the film was shot in and around Assam, Hyderabad, Jammu and Kashmir and Mumbai. Among the distinguished features a large number of real life Indian Air Force cadets worked for the film which has references to 2019 Pulwama attack, 2019 Balakot airstrike and 2019 India–Pakistan border skirmishes.
