Gateway Kandy brings Shakespeare to theatre lovers
View(s):It’s a date for Kandy’s theatre lovers on Thursday, February 1 at the Gateway College Kandy Auditorium at 6 p.m.
Following their last successful public performance of E.F.C. Ludowyke’s ‘He Comes From Jaffna’ in October 2022, Gateway College Kandy will stage another theatrical performance, this time showcasing the linguistic genius of William Shakespeare.
Fresh off their performances at the National Inter-School Shakespeare Drama Competition, the GCK drama club will present the incredibly popular “The Taming of the Shrew”, and the much darker tragic play “Timon of Athens”, both plays directed by Bandhuka Premawardhana.
