The Sri Lanka Institute of Training and Development (SLITAD) the national professional institute of training and development of professionals, recently invited Dr. Nalin Jayasuriya, a renowned business consultant, management trainer and coach, to deliver a presentation on ‘Purposeful Training for Impact’ to the members of the institute.
Some key areas covered by Dr. Jayasuriya were: Researched benefits of training to organisations; Personality traits of an impactful trainer; Art of persuasiveness and positive influence when training; Use of diplomacy in self-realisation and wanting to change, etc.
Dr. Jayasuriya was a Regional Director at Sterling Winthrop (US Pharma Multinational) East Africa Region and thereafter Regional Head of Special Projects and Regional HR Consultant, Smithkline Beecham, Southeast Asia & India, now known as GSK.
At the conclusion of the presentation, Dr. Jayasuriya presented copies of the two books he authored, i.e., ‘Rise above organizational dilemma’ and ‘Attract potential & grow talent’ to the library of SLITAD. Dr. Jayasuriya himself, was the President of SLITAD during the year 2010/2011.
