Nethmi leads Colombo Women to victory
An impressive knock of 87 runs by Nethmi Poorna paved the way for Colombo to secure a comfortable 6-wicket win over the unbeaten Dambulla in the Women’s National Super League Limited-Overs tournament, played at the P. Sara Stadium.
Batting first, Dambulla Women posted a total of 214 for 9, and in their chase, Colombo, led by Nethmi’s stellar performance, reached the target in the 48th over, handing Dambulla their first defeat of the season.
In the other match played at the BRC ground, Oshadi Ranasinghe and Kavya Kavindi starred in Galle Women’s thrilling 1-wicket victory over Kandy.
