The Kandyan Lions Chess Club and the Black And Gold Chess Club put up a spirited fight, with both teams tying for the championship. Yet, in the world of chess, tie-breaks become the ultimate arbiter, and it was the Kandyan Lions Chess Club that secured the championship title, leaving the Black And Gold Chess Club in the honourable first runners-up position. The Royal College Chess Club displayed remarkable prowess, claiming the second runners-up position with 11 match points.

The Women’s championship saw 11 formidable teams compete. The Super Fighters Chess Club exhibited unwavering determination, ultimately clinching the championship with 12 match points. The Passed Pawn Chess Club showcased their skill and tenacity, securing the first runners-up position with 12 match points. Meanwhile, the Mayor Chess Club earned the well-deserved second runners-up title with 11 match points.
