A match bag of 10 for 79 by right-arm spinner Sharon Abhishek helped Richmond College coast to an easy innings and 10-run win over De Mazenod College in their Under-19 Inter-School cricket encounter concluded at Kandana yesterday.

Royal College recorded an easy first innings win over Ananda College in their match ended at the SSC ground. The highlights of the match were the three centuries scored by Rehan Peiris and Ramiru Perera of Royal and Kanchana de Livera of Ananda.

Kaveesha Piyumal of St. Anthony’s College, Katugastota ended with an impressive haul of nine wickets in an innings and ended with a match bag of 14 wickets, but it could not prevent S. Thomas’ College from recording a close first innings win at Katugastota.

Wesley College’s Brendon Fernando slammed an unbeaten 163 with seven boundaries and two sixes to end the first day on 318 for 5 against Maliyadeva College in the game began at Kurunegala.
