The funeral of Sri Lanka’s longest-serving finance minister, Ronnie de Mel, took place at the Ruhunu University grounds on Friday. President Ranil Wickremesinghe, Prime Minister Dinesh Gunawardena, former President Mahinda Rajapaksa, and Opposition Leader Sajith Premadasa were among those who attended the funeral ceremony.
