Half-centuries from Steve Arshan and skipper Sharujan Shanmuganathan guided St. Benedict’s College to a comfortable 6-wicket victory against Wesley College with nine balls remaining in their annual limited-over match played at P. Sara Oval yesterday.

Chasing a target of 218 runs, St. Benedict’s benefitted from two crucial partnerships — a 71-run stand for the second wicket between Janindu Nandasena and Samindu Peiris, and a 111-run partnership for the fourth wicket between Steve and Sharujan, propelling them to victory in the 49th over.
