IORA Day was celebrated last Sunday at the Galle Face Esplanade in Colombo for schoolchildren to be aware of the Indian Ocean and its Sustainability for the Future. The entire diplomatic core participated at the event with stalls showcasing their respective countries. President Ranil Wickremesinghe attended the opening ceremony. The event was jointly organised by the Ministries of Foreign Affairs and Education, the Sri Lanka Navy with several partners including Wijeya Newspapers Ltd.
