While some British MPs relying desperately on vote-bank politics for re-election this year were lecturing Sri Lanka on how to run a country, British High Commissioner Andrew Patrick was engaged in a meritorious task of teaching English as a global language to Sri Lankan children at a storytelling event organised by the British Council in partnership with the Funday Times, the children’s section of the Sunday Times, at the British Council.
