‘ Just Keep Tukkin’ reaches out to Sunshine Charity

Hurtling across Sri Lanka in a tuk-tuk has been fun for 78 teams who bounced along dirt tracks, traversed tea fields and dodged elephants in a two-week event which combined the best of the independent and group travel experience. Rickshaw Run Sri Lanka, was organised by The Adventurists (cool earth) – “fighting to make the world less boring.”
Popularly referred to as “Just Keep Tukkin”, team members Luca and Tharina having browsed the web selected the Sunshine Charity to raise funds for it through this event.
The trustees of the Sunshine Charity were thrilled when they heard the news. The funds will support the morning meal and milk programme for 50 vulnerable children living in the Trincomalee district. Luca and Tharina engaged with the children, sang songs with them and gave them a peep into the tuk-tuk that took them across Sri Lanka’s diverse landscape.
