While Artificial Intelligence (AI) and data analytics are globally spoken topics nowadays, Ernst and Young (EY) considers it as key areas for upskilling the future generations. Globally EY is investing around US$1.4 billion on AI related upskilling.

EY Global Delivery Services (GDS) Sri Lanka, Location and Consulting Leader, Samantha Rajapaksa during a media briefing held at the World Trade Center office in Colombo on Tuesday highlighted that EY considers AI and data analytics as one of the key areas of upskilling the students and graduates in the country. “While we service the global landscape on technology consulting, we strongly believe in upskilling our students in the country. EY GDS is expanding and growing on a positive trajectory. We want to give our future generations a global experience. We are looking forward to working with state and private universities in the country and provide them with employment opportunities,” stated Mr. Rajapaksa.

EY GDS has completed two years in Sri Lanka as a globally integrated and dynamic network of over 75,000 professionals across 10 countries dedicated to providing innovative business solutions to EY member firms to support EY clients worldwide. The company has experienced significant growth, building up a workforce of over 250 professionals (locally). With core services in business and technology consulting services and audit assurance, EY GDS Sri Lanka offers an array of career opportunities for both young talent and experienced professionals with skills that include cybersecurity, AI, machine learning, data analytics, quality engineering and testing, project management, and business process management.
