Presidential Fund scholarships for students in piriven, seelamatha educational institutions
View(s):Two additional scholarship programmes will be awarded through the Presidential Fund in addition to the ones already being given, under the directive of President Ranil Wickremesinghe.
Starting this month, students studying at piriven and seelamatha educational institutions who are monks or nuns, as well as those pursuing Information and Communication Technology (ICT) as a subject for the GCE Advanced Level Examination, will be eligible for the scholarship.
5,000 students are anticipated to receive scholarships.
Scholarships worth 3,000 rupees a month for 12 months starting this month will be provided under the first category, while 6,000 rupees a month for 24 months will be given under the second. (NA)
