At rest with Jesus. It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Mr. Edward Gunawardena, beloved husband to Marie (nee Seneviratne), cherished father to Prineetha & Prasantha. Edward will be fondly remembered by his son – in – law Sanjeeva Perera (Mario) and he was an adored grandfather to Rehan, Kishani & Sneha. He was a loving brother to Late Clara, Late Lucian, Lumina, Late Sr. Francita (AC), Tennyson, Late Regina, Late Sr. Dhammika (Good Shepherd) & Victorine. He departed peacefully on the 10th of May. His guidance and love have been a cornerstone in all their lives, leaving a legacy of warmth and unity. The family extends an invitation to join them in celebrating his fond memories on the 13th and 14th of May at The Respect Jayaratne Funeral Parlour. The burial will be on Tuesday the 14th May at 4:00 p.m. at General Cemetery Borella (RC section).We take comfort in knowing Edward has found peace and rest, and his spirit will forever inspire those who had the privilege to know him.
