Pera Uni convocation postponed due to non-academic staff strike

The University of Peradeniya convocation of nearly 3,000 undergraduates has been postponed to July.

At the Administration meeting held on Thursday (16), Deputy Vice Chancellor Professor Terrance Mudajith said a new date would be fixed after non-academic staff return to work.

Non-academic staff play a major role before and during the convocation.

The postponement has disappointed graduates looking to enter the job market.
