Dinara cruise through to second final

Sri Lanka’s Dinara de Silva, who came out victorious in the ITF Junior Circuit Week 1 last week, succeeded to make it to the ITF Junior Circuit Week 2 Tennis Tournament, after defeating Yu-Ching Wang of Chinese Taipei in the semi-final played at the SSC tennis courts yesterday.

Dinara cruised through with a comfortable 2-0 victory, as she set up the final against Yu-Ching Hsieh of Chinese Taipei, which will be played today.

In the second semi-final Yu-Ching Hsieh of Chinese Taipei won her game with ease against India’s Ira Shah by 2-0. It will be a repeat of the Week 1 Tournament final last week, where second seeded Dinara will be seeking to repeat her winning streak against top seeded Yu-Ching.

In the boy’s category, top seeded Riku Higashi of Japan got the better of fourth seeded Daksh Kukreti of India by 2-0 while third seeded Hung Yu-Chen of Chinese Taipei underwent some anxious moments against unseeded Kai Thompson of Hong Kong before scraping through to a 2-1 victory. Both finals will be played today.
