Thaha, Susantha battle for supremacy

The battle for the 69th National Billiards Championship will be a repeat of last year’s final as defending champion Thaha Irshath of Moors SC and runner-up Susantha Wickrama of Army BC making it to the final by recording wins in the two semi-finals played at the AAC Billiards Table in Colombo yesterday.

The tournament played on the timing format of two hours saw Thaha coasting to a convincing win against Abdul Sattar while Susantha being made to work hard by Priyantha Samarakoona Plate Championship.

The final will be played today at the same venue from 4:00p.m.
