Sanduni Hansika Fernando is undergoing treatment for a neurological condition. She is the eldest daughter of Lankadeepa
journalist Devalapola Keerthi Fernando.
17-year-old Sanduni is unable to walk or talk due to her illness. The course of treatment has been effective and needs to be continued without pause for another four years to avoid relapse, doctors have said. Her treatment costs are over Rs50,000 a month.
Mr Fernando is unable to cover expenses and is requesting donations from kind people.
