“ESCAPE: Stories of Survivors,” at the Lionel Wendt
View(s):“ESCAPE: Stories of Survivors,” a theatrical production of Sevalanka’s Anonymous Productions spotlighting the real-life stories of six child sexual abuse survivors in Sri Lanka will be staged at the Lionel Wendt Theatre on June 4 and 9. Written and produced by Angelo Perera and directed by Radshika Ranaweera, the play is presented by LEADS, in partnership with Sevalanka Foundation.
Featuring moving monologues from guests such as Danu Innasithamby, Kevin Cruze and others, the play seeks to let survivors of sexual abuse and domestic violence to know that they are not alone.
“ESCAPE” aims to raise awareness of child abuse and funds to provide school supplies for 2,000 vulnerable children for the 2025 school year.
