Ruhuna University to resume schedule amidst strike
View(s):Final-year students of the Faculty of Fisheries and Ocean Science Technology at the University of Ruhuna have reportedly been called to the university while its non-academic staff are on strike.
UoR administration has scheduled students to return on May 28 to conduct final year exams.
The university’s operations have been hindered by the strike and bad weather.
Food and water shortage concerns in dorms have hampered hostellers, according to students.
Exams for a number of disciplines that were due to be held this week have been rescheduled, according to final-year students of the Faculty.
Students said it was unjust to hold the final year exam when a few students from outstation areas could not come to the university. (NA)
