‘WMA SUNDOWN JAM 2024’

‘Sundown JAM 2024’ , an indoor musical extravaganza organised by the Western Musicians’ Association (WMA) will come alive at the Oak Room of the Cinnamon Grand, Colombo on Sunday, 28th July, 2024 from 6.00pm onwards.
The Western Musicians’ Association is in the process of organising this annual ‘Sundown Jam’ under the theme ‘Care for WMA Community’.
‘The main objective of the event is, to raise funds for the welfare of Western Musicians who do not enjoy any privileges from the State or any private body in case of an emergency, critical illness or for the wellbeing of their families and children’ explained Clifford Richards, the newly elected President of the WMA.
Music will be provided by four reputed bands – ‘Misty’, ‘Freeze’, ‘Omega’ and ‘X-pressions’ and popular artistes Corrine Almaida, Sohan Weerasinghe, Judy de Silva, Donald Peiris, Radika Rajavelu, Sharon de Bruin (Lulu), Fabion Bonni Paul, Dilrukshi Galappaththi, Neomal Pieris and Sidath Nanayakkara.
The comperes for the ‘WMA Sundown JAM 2024’ will be Cliff Richards and Lulu.
All bands and artistes are registered members of the WMA and we expect a participation of over 500 pax at this event. This will be the very first event organised by the WMA for the year 2024’ said President Richards.
The working Committee of the Western Musicians’ Association comprises Clifford Richards (President), Corrine Almeida (Vice President), Judy de Silva (Vice President/Secretary), Neomal Peiris (Treasurer), Sharon de Bruin (Assistant Secretary), William Jayawardena (Assistant Treasurer), Janappriya Weeraratne -Committee Member, Marlon Amarasekara -Committee Member, Senal Kapugeekiyana- Committee Member, Radika Rajavelu -Committee Member, Manjula Martis- Committee Member, Idath Nanayakkara-Committee Member and Evans De Fonseka-Committee Member.
