Sahan steers Colombo South 1
Skipper Sahan Kaushalya, who slammed a 48-ball 83, inclusive of 10 boundaries, along with Heshan Udara and Malith Perera, who also made half tons, helped Colombo South Zone 1 to record a 63-run win over Kalutara Zone 1 on the Parabola method in the ongoing SLC Provincial Youth League Limited Over encounter played at Bandaragama.
Colombo Zouth Zone 1, taking first lease of the wicket, made a formidable total of 295 for 5, which came on the came on the back of two valuable partnerships. The first partnership of 58 runs for the second was 61 between Heshan (61) and Isula Geeganage, followed by a 131-run stand for the fourth wicket between skipper Sahan and Malith.
Kalutara Zone 1 were 169 for 8 after 28 overs when the match was called off. The target during stoppage was 233 runs.
A quick-fire 73 in 35 balls with 11 boundaries and three sixes by skipper Hasith Kavinda and an unbeaten half ton by Damesh Mathuishan paved the way for Puttalam to record a convincing 8-wicket win over Anuradhapura in another match played at Anuradhapura. Colombo
