MRCC, housing projects launched during Indian Minister’s visit
View(s):The centre that was established with an Indian grant of USD 6 million was jointly commissioned in the virtual ceremony.
President Wickremesinghe and Dr Jaishankar also jointly handed over 48 houses under the Model Village Housing Project in Colombo and Trincomalee Districts; 106 houses under Phase III of the Indian Housing Project in Kandy, Matale and Nuwara Eliya Districts.
During the visit, the Indian Minister called on President Ranil Wickremesinghe, Prime Minister Dinesh Gunawardena, Opposition Leader Sajith Premadasa, Leader of Tamil political parties and held bi-lateral talks with his counterpart, Foreign Minister Ali Sabry.
