Lanka Hospitals School of Nursing Celebrates Capping and Graduation Ceremony
View(s):Lanka Hospitals School of Nursing (LHSN) recently hosted a momentous occasion with the graduation ceremony of the 2020 nursing student batch and the capping ceremony of the nursing students of its 2022 batch. Held at the prestigious Lanka Hospitals auditorium, the ceremony was a celebration of the dedication and hard work of the nursing students who have completed their training under the guidance of the esteemed faculty.
LHSN is proud to be the first nursing school in Sri Lanka to adopt the latest NVQ level 6 nursing curriculum (Higher National Diploma), approved by the Tertiary & Vocational Education Commission (TVEC). The 2022 batch, comprising 53 students, will be the third batch to sit for the NVQ Level-6 Higher National Diploma in Nursing, while 31 nursing graduates from the 2020 batch have already joined Lanka Hospitals as employed staff, contributing to the healthcare workforce.
Since its establishment in 2001, Lanka Hospitals School of Nursing has been a key provider of trained nursing professionals to meet the increasing demand in Sri Lanka’s private healthcare sector. Recruiting approximately 50 students annually, the school conducts its courses in English medium, ensuring that graduates are equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge to excel in their profession.
Mr. Deepthi Lokuarachchi, Group CEO of Lanka Hospitals PLC, highlighted the significance of LHSN’s contribution to the Sri Lankan healthcare industry.
