Sri Lanka, Vietnam to strengthen collaborations in higher education sector
View(s):Sri Lanka and Vietnam will increase collaboration on higher education ventures, and have agreed to implement an amended agreement for 2024-26. The initial agreement was implemented between 2017-20.
The agreement aims to foster mutual cooperation in higher education. Key objectives include the exchange of information and experiences pertaining to development and innovation in higher education.
The agreement seeks to promote bilateral cooperation programmes between research institutions of both countries.
Facilitation of scholarship exchanges for undergraduate and postgraduate studies in fields mutually agreed upon by Sri Lanka and Vietnam are a highlight of the agreement.
The agreement also promotes the exchange of students and scholars between universities and research centers of Sri Lanka and Vietnam. This exchange will further contribute to a broader understanding of cultural and academic practices.
