In a collaborative effort, the Technology Ministry and Education Ministry are set to implement a programme aimed at enhancing piriven education.

The initiative focuses on integrating digital technology to empower piriven teachers and clergy/lay students in exploring and analysing the national Buddhist heritage of Sri Lanka.

Each pirivena will receive a minimum allocation of two computers, a smart board, and a printer.

The Cabinet of Ministers endorsed the proposal put forward by President Ranil Wickremesinghe and Education Minister Susil Premajayantha.
