Appeton steps up to nurture future rugby stars
Appeton, a globally renowned nutritional supplements and wellness brand, is taking strategic steps to nurture Sri Lanka’s future rugby stars. This initiative aims to provide essential nutritional support to young athletes, ensuring they have the strength, endurance, and overall health necessary to excel in the sport.
Recognising nutrition’s critical role in athletic performance, Appeton will offer targeted nutritional supplements to help young rugby players enhance their physical development, fostering sportsmanship and teamwork essential for success both on and off the field.
As the first step, Appeton Nutrition will collaborate with rugby teams from several leading schools, laying a robust foundation for young athletes. Appeton will be the Nutritional Partner for Wesley College, Kingswood College, and Isipathana College’s Under-10 rugby teams. They will sponsor both the Isipathana Under-10 rugby jersey and the First XV bag, aiming to develop Sri Lanka’s school rugby from a young age.
“We are thrilled to empower Sri Lanka’s next generation of rugby players,” said Rimaz Rizwie, Head of Consumer Healthcare Business at Hemas Pharmaceuticals, Appeton’s key distributor.
“At Appeton, we believe in the power of nutrition to transform lives. By providing high-quality supplements to these young athletes, we enhance their performance on the field and contribute to their overall health and development. We are committed to nurturing their talents, ensuring they have the resources needed to become the stars of tomorrow.”
Beyond physical development, this partnership emphasises the importance of sportsmanship and teamwork. Appeton aims to create a supportive environment where young athletes can thrive. By promoting these core values, the company intends to inspire a new generation of rugby players who embody integrity, respect, and camaraderie.
