Rythm of the brush, an art exhibition

Proficient artists Hemantha Warakapitiya and Lalith Ranasinghe will have their art exhibition ‘Rhythem of the brush’ at Lionel Wendt.

The exhibition’s opening ceremony will be held on July 5 evening, and would be open to the public from 8.30 am to 7.30 pm on July 6 and 7.

The art exhibition showcases portraits, environment and nature, as well as wildlife artwork. The exhibition would have over 70 paintings.

Artist Hemantha Warakapitiya is a professional artist, a newspaper cartoonist who did caricatured political cartoons as well as a former comic artist (Chithra Katha) who works in the media field.

Artist Laith Ranasinghe is a Senior Deputy Director at Sri Lanka Customs.

Mr Ranasinghe was interested in art from a younger age and had learned art from school and followed his passion of art even while he studied economics, and political science. He also carried out his passion in art while working at Customs.
