Sanitary napkins voucher extended until August
View(s):Secretary to the Education Ministry Thilaka Jayasundara has announced a one-month extension of the deadline for the first round of gift vouchers granted to schoolgirls for the purchase of sanitary napkins.
Thus, schoolgirls can use their gift coupons until August 10 to buy sanitary napkins.
Free gift vouchers for the purchase of sanitary napkins for schoolgirls were made available starting this year, under the direction of Education Minister Dr Susil Premajayantha.
The MoE had taken steps to offer all provincial schools as well as the seven national schools that fall under the estate school category a free gift voucher for the purchase of sanitary napkins for six months.
