Everyone has those days when you are feeling too lazy to go out or cook but have those cravings that need to be satisfied.  We’ve got you covered with some great options to choose from on such days.

Mama Rana’s

When you want to treat yourself to a good ‘buth packet’, Mama Rana’s hits the spot. Determined to change the common misconception that rice is unhealthy Senuriy Ranathunga and her Archammi Nandani’s buth packets wrapped in banana leaf are clean, wholesome, and nutritious.

“It’s all about being able to eat good Sri Lankan food and not feel guilty afterward,” she says.

Mama Rana’s recommends:

n  Chicken Rice and Curry – taking our average buth packet up a notch is this combination with a generous portion of meat accompanied by a combination of vegetables and leafy greens.

n  Prawn Yellow Rice -  Rice packed with a vibrant salad, brinjal moju,  jakfruit cutlet, parippu, potato thel dala, topped off with a creamy prawn curry.

n  Vegan Lamprais – Rice is cooked in homemade vegan stock accompanied by ash plantain and brinjal curry, polos curry, jakfruit cutlet, cashew curry and seeni sambal.
