Singapore, UK Modern Montessori International reps visit Sri Lanka MMI centres
View(s):Representatives from Modern Montessori International (MMI) centers in Singapore and the UK recently visited MMI centres around Sri Lanka with the goal of promoting global cooperation within the MMI network and improving early childhood education.
The teacher training event at the ANC auditorium, which provided educators with up-to-date Montessori methods, was a major highlight.
A revised Early Childhood Diploma with pathways to a Higher National Diploma (HND) and the final year of the degree providing prospects for further study in the UK, Australia, and New Zealand, was also considered during this session.
Meet-and-greet sessions with parents were another aspect of the visit that provided a forum for talking about the development of the kids and getting their input.
Singaporean Academic Director Bob Durgude and Marianne Bourke, the UK’s Academic Director and Principal, expressed appreciation with the advancements and success of the Sri Lanka early childhood centres. (NA)
