The Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption (CIABOC) has issued a “final notice” to ministers and parliamentarians who have yet to submit their assets-and-liabilities declarations to do so before the end of this month.

The Commission has also written to the Secretary General of Parliament and the Secretary to the President, instructing them to submit a list of names of MPs and ministers who have so far handed in their assets-and-liabilities declarations.

MPs must submit their assets-and-liabilities declarations to the Secretary General of Parliament, while Cabinet and State Ministers must submit such declarations to the Secretary to the President.

The CIABOC has the power to impose a surcharge amounting to one-third of the salary of those who don’t submit their assets-and-liabilities declarations.
