‘Vas Aradhana’ ceremony at Gangaramaya temple

A ‘Vas Aradhana’ (Rain retreat ceremony) was held at the Gangaramaya temple, in Colombo yesterday. The ceremony gives the opportunity for the lay community to take care of the monastics by offering them food and medicines. Gangaramaya Viharadhikari Kirinde Assaji Thera presided over the ceremony.
