Sundown Jam: Night to remember
View(s):The Sundown Jam 2024, organised by the Western Musicians Association Sri Lanka (WMA), took place on Sunday, July 28, 2024, at Waters Edge, Battaramulla. The event featured a dynamic lineup of artistes: Correne and Bonnie backed by Omega: Corrine and Bonnie delivered powerful vocals, supported by Omega’s dynamic instrumentation, led by Maestro Marlon Amarasekera. This combination made for a memorable performance.
Radika, Sid, and Lulu brought vibrant energy to the stage, with Misty’s backing adding depth to their set. Dynamite Rajitha Rupasinghe led Misty, and their mix of upbeat and soulful tunes kept the audience engaged.
Dilrukshi and Donald’s performance was compelling, with Xpressions providing a strong musical foundation. Led by Manjula Martis, Xpressions helped blend emotional and upbeat tracks effectively, resonating with the crowd. Judy and Neomal delivered lively and engaging individual sets, with Freeze’s versatile backing enhancing their performances. Led by Shenal, Freeze’s diverse sound created a dynamic atmosphere throughout their sets.
The Western Musicians Association Sri Lanka’s executive committee, including Clifford, Janapriya, Corrine, Judy, Neomal, Sharron, Sidath, Evans, Manjula, Wills, Shenal, and Radika, were behind organizing the event. The comperes, Clifford and Lulu, were excellent, adding charm and professionalism to the proceedings. Each table had 10 seats, and the food was delicious and reasonably priced, adding to the overall enjoyment of the event.
