Women’s Asian champs off to Ireland

Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) yesterday announced a 16-member squad for the upcoming tour of Ireland.

The newly crowned Asian champions will embark on a white-ball tour of Ireland this month where they will play two T20I matches and three ODIs. The team is scheduled to depart for Ireland on Tuesday. The ODIs are a part of the ICC Women’s Championship Cycle spanning from 2022 to 2025.

The Sri Lanka women’s white-ball squad led by the experienced Chamari Athapaththu, includes Vishmi Gunaratne, Harshitha Samarawickrama, Hasini Perera, Kavisha Dilhari, Nilakshi de Silva, Anushka Sanjeewani, Kawya Kavindi, Udeshika Prabodhani, Achini Kulasuriya, Sugandika Kumari, Sachini Nisansala, Inoshi Fernando and Shashini Gimhani.
