Annual Bawa memorial lecture by Architect Anupama Kundoo
View(s):Architect Anupama Kundoo, whose work emphasizes human resources and community in architecture, will deliver the 21st Annual Geoffrey Bawa Memorial Lecture on Friday, August 9 at 6.30 pm at the Sri Lanka Foundation Institute, 100, Sri Lanka Padanama Mawatha, Independence Square, Colombo 7.
Anupama Kundoo graduated from the University of Mumbai in 1989 and received her PhD from TU Berlin in 2008. Her practice, starting in 1990 in Auroville, focuses on people-centric, low-impact architecture through spatial and material research.
Her work was exhibited in a solo show ‘Taking Time’ at the Louisiana Museum of Modern Art, Denmark. She has taught at various international universities and was the Davenport Visiting Professor at Yale in Spring 2020. Currently, she is a Professor at Potsdam School of Architecture and has studios in Berlin, Pune, and Pondicherry.
