Holy Family Convent, Bambalapitiya won both the Under-20 and Under-17 basketball titles of the Western Province School Games. In both finals HFC cagers displayed their dominance, winning both titles with healthy margins.

In the Under-20 finals, HFC met Good Shepherd Convent, Kotahena and overcame them by 70-50, after holding to a slender 30-25 lead at halftime. Dihini Dharmadasa (22) was outstanding with her contribution to the team’s win while Tiara de Silva (16) and Kishuri Reiss (12) too played pivotal roles towards HFC’s win.

HFC met St. Joseph’s Girls School, Nugegoda in the Under-17 finals and won 43-23, after leading 27-17 at halftime. Binuthi Jayasinghe (13), Misheni Perera (12), Venessa Fernando (5) and Amaya Henry (5) were the leading scorers for the winners.
