Yevan David achieves rare feat in Spain
View(s):Following the groundbreaking performance at Euro 3 in Netherlands, Sri Lankan racing prodigy Yevan David came up with a yet another stellar performance at the Spanish Motorland F4 Final Race.
An underperforming qualifying session followed by a mid-race mishap positioned him at 25th at the starting grid of the final Race 3.
Despite David, 17, facing a daunting and an uphill task ahead of him against a formidable set of experienced formula drivers, he adapted a tactical and a strategic race, skillfully maneuvered himself to finish seventh. In doing so, he gained 18 positions, a feat rarely achieved in formula racing.
This effort earned him valuable points with his total tally now reaching 12 points in respect of the Overall Championship. The Race was held last Sunday with the new emerging star Keanu Al Azhari ahead of the Australian Driver Griffin Peebles.
