Ceylon Cold Stores and University of Peradeniya in bottle collection drive
View(s):A Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the University of Peradeniya and Ceylon Cold Stores to minimise the plastic bottle waste within the University.
Every residence hall will be issued a bin and if there is a full collection of plastic bottles within a month, the hall would be entitled to Rs 30,000.
Vice Chancellor Professor Terrence Madhujith signed the MoU on behalf of the University, and Senior Vice President/ Head of Supply Chain Management Sanjeewa Jayasundara signed on behalf of Ceylon Cold Stores.
The CCS staff and Dons of the University were present at the signing at the University’s Senate Room.
