First aid and disaster management training for the sangha

For the first time, 500 members of the sangha from piriven of the Malwatta and Asgiri temples attended a first aid programme and allied subjects including disaster management, at the Asgiri Maha Privena complex, which is headed by the Director of the Pirivena Ven Panditha Naranpanawa Ananda Thera.
The programme was organised by Ven Sastrapathi Hettimulle Sarananda Thera of Malwathu Maha Viharaya, with directions of the Colombo office of St John’s Ambulance Brigade under the guidance of Matale District Chairman M B Godamunne. – L B Senaratne
