A foreign scientist with an extensive background will be conferred with an honourary degree for the first time at the Peradeniya University’s 85th Convocation scheduled to be held on August 21 and 22.

Professor Bengt-Erik Mellander of the Chalmers University of Sweden, Professor D Y D Samarawickrama, Professor M A K L Dissanayake, Professor S Sivanathan, and Professor W I Siriweera will be conferred degrees.
