“Choli Choli ’24”, presented by the Muslim Ladies Study Circle on Sunday, August 11 at the Balmoral of Kingsbury Colombo saw a full evening of entertainment complete with a Mughal-inspired fashion show by designer Aslam Hussein, dance performances by the Channa Upuli Performance Arts Foundation, music by Friends in Harmony, games and raffles. An Indian dinner menu was enjoyed by all.

The show was a fundraiser for the Muslim Ladies’ main charity effort – their vocational training institute for women. Founded and run by Sikhamani Ameena Mustapha with the slogan ‘We, empower her’,  the institute offers skills development and vocational training and the funds  raised will be dedicated to developing the range of training opportunities in both academic and non-academic fields to benefit needy women.
