Memories of the 70 s’ a musical extravaganza showcasing the popular songs from the 70’s will come alive on Saturday, August 24 commencing 7.00pm at the Bishops College Auditorium.
The show will feature evergreen Annesley Malawana, who will play the key role with everlasting hits from the Moonstones and Super Golden Chimes era. Anil Barathi also hailing from the same era, will perform his popular songs. Ever popular hits from the seventies popular Calypso band ‘La Bambas’ sing by Priya Peiris. Chitral Somapala will sing the classics of his parents, Chitra and PLA Somapala. Earl Fernando of Fortunes fame will refresh the memories with his calypso classics. New singing sensation Falan Andrea will also perform some golden oldies in her inevitable style.
Damayantha Kuruppu who is also the producer of the show will refresh memories with a couple of popular English songs.
Music for the concert is provided by popular band Vision who concentrate on retro music both Sinhala and English
